Storm Giants

I've been playing for a few years and just now tried out the storm giant. And.... I didn't like it. Now your results may vary. PvP, didn't notice much difference. But what I could tell (and measure) was it was not as good in the forest. For instance playing as I always do to get thru level 1 the storm giant had 15% fewer flawless fights. Over the whole DK it averaged about 10% less flawless fights.

I've never tried a troll either. I'll have to try that sometime and see what happens. I just didn't think what race you chose would make that big of a difference in forest play.

Each race has an innate...something. Maybe the Storm Giant added to your main allocation of points and that made a difference in the forest? I don't know - just tossing out ideas. I love being a storm giantess - it allows me to have extra points in some stat so that I can then spend my DK points on something else.

I think you have something there. I need to be a stone giantess instead! That way I can have the over-the-shoulder-boulder-holder option. :D

I know I had fewer Flawless fights as a dwarf than i did as a Storm Giant. But meh.. Storm Giant is nice in pvp cause of the +def buff and the boulder - but other than that, it's totally "meh".

I just need a race that has its bluespring in Qexelcrag (God of Ales cannot maintain an ale buzz for 200 turns, I'm afraid). And the Storm Giant is by far the most skull cracking.

Either that or settle your situation such that you get enough travel to make it to Qexelcrag once a day. It can happen.

You're suggesting I should just drink ONCE? Wow, I am utterly incapable of doing so. I can go for max 10 fights without a drink or 2.

No, I said make it to Qexelcrag once a day. You can drink more than one while you're there. And by day, I meant gameday, not 24 hours.

I realize my sense of humour may be a bit awkward and irresponsible, so I probably have to apologize before I start ranting on and on about some rather confusing business.

I drink every time I am able to - and staying in Q-town waiting to be hunted down by a master is no good for me. Thus, I choose dwarf or storm giant so that I can drink 24/7. Dwarf even has the "dwarven ale" which is definately worth it.
