The silhouette of a woman stood out against the illuminations of fairies and pixies as they darted through the night, up to their usual mischief. She paused, as though listening to some unheard whisper, although her sharp Elven ears might hint as to why she might be able to hear what humans cannot.
Unlike Degolburg, teeming with life even in the dead of night as the rats scurry along the streets and the merchants hurry back to their homes, doing their best to avoid the slobbering drunk, Glorfindal was silent at this time of the night.
Hearing nothing, she slipped past Petra's Tattoo Parlour and counted precisely ten trees away from the back before coming to a stop.
