That's right, folks...Dragonprime is finally hosting a public gameserver. You'll find it right here (http://dragonprimelogd.net) for your gaming pleasure.

The game is installed using the as yet unreleased version 1.1.1 code, with many new goodies from the likes of Nightborn, XChrisX and other contributors. The only modules we'll be using there are the "Recommended Core Modules", which are historically those included with the old 1.0.6 release, but may become a revised list in the future.

The only "disclaimer" for this game is that the code will be our active development code. That means that settings and features may change, and there will be the occasional bug encountered. Donator points will be awarded to players who report previously unreported bugs, issues and typos.

2 Game days per real day
10 Forest Fights per day
3 PVP fights
100 Gold to start

Please join us in the game, and start exploring!

Whee... and we are very excited that DragonPrime's server will become the fourth "official" server to use these forums for game chat.

So jump in now and get involved in the game... and rack up a few dragon kills while you can get ahead ;)

I should probably mention that there are some new features that aren't in public distribution just yet (we're working out the bugs with the help of our players!).

When was the last time you met multiple monsters in the forest, or had someone join you in battle?

Hmmm - I think I will check this one out. Not that I have an extreme amount of time to play - but I like to experiment. And I've never gotten to be in Beta-anything. This ought to be fun!

I've just moved the game to it's own webspace to avoid having it's performance dragged down by DragonPrime's forum woes. You'll now find it at http://dragonprimelogd.net

It's still horribly, horribly, painfully slow. But tis Spring Break and I actually have a tad more time to play, so it's not so bad. But I can still get in a few moves of Freecell while the page is loading...

heh?

i am getting page refreshes of between 1-3 seconds. i think that is a significant improvement over the lag it was experiencing.

it is pretty zippy for me.

Hmm - I tried it on the T-? line on the brand new computer in my other office, thinking maybe the hydrology department's wireless connection was slowing me down. Tis a little better to be sure, but it's still at LEAST 6 seconds to load a page. I shall try it from home next with my super slow 256 K DSL. Maybe this department's network is slower than wireless. But it IS faster than it was; my browser is not timing out trying to get it to load.

I will (hopefully) be even faster later tonight, as my host is doing some major service upgrades at 1130 pm PST.

Shameless plug!! FUN little server - growing, AND a REALLY sweet prize mount for a few buck's donation. :D

Got a nice little cast of characters playing too - some familiar faces, and some new ones. And did I mention a REALLY awesome prize mount?

Any idea why my browser recieves only this:

<html>
<body>
<!-- default -->
</body>
</html>

I would really like to play it, and maybe even contribute to LotGD...

Did the link change, Tal, when you switched servers?

Snarez - try this link: http://72.47.195.21/home.php?

Hopefully that takes you to DP.

I think things might have got a wee bit borked when I closed my old hosting account down. The URL will remain the same (in the meantime use the IP address Shiqra posted).

I'm working on this issue right now, and will hopefully have it resolved quickly.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

If you changed the host, it usually takes a few days for DNS servers to update (here in Croatia, it might take weeks :P ). Did you ask your new hosting service to update the DNS records?

Oh, and I managed to reach DP, thanks Shiqra

Well, that's the thing...didn't change hosts, just changed plans/accounts. It might be a DNS update thing, but if not, it will get straightened out shortly.

I have the same problems, though sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

I ran a traceroute both times. The different lines between them are: (12 is the same)
