Wen am I new

I've just been born on the Isle of Wen
While the rest of the realm's beyond my ken.
I'm not very tall, but my beard's sure long:
Wrapped twice around and tucked in my thong.

So, what of this dragon that sparks such awe?
With emerald scales and lance filled maw?
Does it bleed? Does it hurt? Is its lair gold-lined?
Is it easy, pray tell, to seek, to find?

She is a peculiar creature,
Rarely seen are her scaly green features,
She moves every day,
But seek her as you may,
She'll pounce out and come to eat'cha!
