View Full Version : How many attempts at finding the Dragon? (minor spoilers)

Is there a limit number of tries for finding the Dragon? I searched for her about 3 times (in a different village each time) and still had forest fights and travel points left, but the option to search again disappeared. What is worse, the Gipsy told me that the Dragon was in the very city I got to when I ran out of attempts to find her. Can someone help me here? Do we only get three tries to find the Dragon each day? If so, can we get more tries?

Also, a few weeks ago I tried searching for the Dragon twice in the same village, and I found 2 gems each time. Is it possible to look for the Dragon multiple times in the same village and actually find her on the second or third attempt? If so, is there any point in traveling to a different village each time you miss her in a cave, or should you just keep trying in the same village until you run out of tries. I know you can just pay the Gipsy 10 gems for the Dragon's location, but that's expensive. I'd much rather go through all 4 villages until I find her.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, as I was very pumped up to kill the Dragon but couldn't find her at all.

You only get three chances to find the dragon per New Day. If she isn't in her cave in i.e. Qexelcrag when you searched it once, why would you think she would want to return knowing you are laying in wait for her that same day?

But what's the logic of going into the cave 2 times and finding 2 gems each time? Anyway, is it possible to get more than 3 attempts each day?

No, on Central the value for the setting is 3.

Separate from whether or not the Dragon is in the cave, the result of what you do find in an empty cave is a random selection of several choices. Finding the gem twice in the same day in the same cave is just the RNG having fun playing mindgames with you.

Allowing you to search the same cave twice in the same day is just forcing you to keep track of where you've already searched...
