Problems with forest fights

Hi, I have this recurring problem. Sometimes when I'm fighting in the forest, I'm suddenly directed to this page where it says to "Click here.", but no matter how many times I click the link I get directed back to it. Is there any way to solve this problem? Because I think it's unfair that I have to waste a game day just because there's something wrong with the server. Thanks in advance for any help

Are you playing on Central server? If so, I think you need to be more specific with the problem you are having.

Yes I'm playing on the Central server. Ok, here's a little more detail about the problem.

I'm fighting in the forest, and after healing at the Healer's Hut, I continue to Look for something to kill. The page starts to load, but somehow or other I'm directed to a blank white page that says "Click here.".

I looked at the source code and the link points to www.lotgd.net/forest.php? but no matter how many times I click on it, I keep getting directed back to that blank page and can't do anything about it. I've tried manually typing in the url too, but that doesn't work either. Please help!!! :(

There might be a way to rectify it, I certainly have no clue. I agree that Petioning for Help might be faster for you and more helpful to the admins on Central.

Petition it. Admins have a 'fixnavs' button.

That should fix the problem, though getting it over and over again may be a different issue.

After it gets fixed, if you are still experiencing the problem, you may need to slow down and let the whole page load before clicking a nav. Sometimes moving too fast can cause problems.

Also, what Explorer are you using and is it up-to-date? Because this has probably never happened to many players, probably 99% and so you might want to look into other reasons why. Your browser would be a good place to start while the admins are looking into what they can do to help you.

A "badnav" occurs when you try to go to a page you are "not allowed" to be on. Every page has a code on it in the web address - something like c=6-032309 is at the end, and the code makes sure you're allowed to be where you are. For example, if you try to type the link to the village while you are in the healer's hut (you can't do that, you must go back through the forest to get there). This is not a problem with the server. This is the way it is supposed to work and is not a fault. Otherwise, you could simply type something in and travel for free (or see Audrey whenever you like, and so on).

If it is happening and you *aren't* typing things in, there are a few possible causes. As jcp mentioned, let the pages load or the server will not know you have reached the page properly before you try to move ahead. Other reasons include wacky caching (if you try to view "stored" pages from say, yesterday, the codes are wrong and you will get redirected - try clearing your cache). Never use the back button to go somewhere, always click links (unless of course, the page shows that white link.) A poor internet connection can be another reason. People on dialup in rural areas tend to have signal loss and our end simply never gets the message that you have moved on.

But by far the most common reason is people attempting to open two windows or two tabs.

LoGD will absolutely not work in two tabs. You cannot do it, so don't bother =)
