Wait... so then you would receive a YOM every time someone posts in your clan hall? You can always press the "back" button at the bottom of the page to see what you missed.

While people can certainly post suggestions for improving clans, most of them aren't going to happen. We feel that clans need to be totally rewritten (the code is messy from all the changes) so we are reluctant to keep adding things that we'll just have to redo again later.

Acemaster: I spelled it wrong. I meant to say MoTD instead of YoM. So, every new day you receive a popup showing the NEW messages (if any) that have been written in the clan hall.

SaucyWench: theres no hurry, just keep it in mind when you rewrite the code. ;)

Sorry, but the MotD is just the Admins' way of informing us players of changes in the game or other information that all players need to know. It would be silly and a huge waste of time for the MotD to be used to inform you of new messages in your Clan Hall. All you have to do is visit your Clan Hall and look for new posts. It's not that difficult. You can do it from any village. Unless your connection is really slow (mine is right now), it just takes a few seconds to pop into your Clan Hall and check. If you are in a very active Clan Hall (like ours, just ask Saucy or Ace), there will almost always be a new post when you log in. Just quit trying to find ways to be lazy and visit your Clan Hall. You never know when you might want to post something yourself. :shock:

:wink: Keep up the good work, Saucy. You and the other Admin-type Gods are doing an awesome job, considering all the whining you have to deal with from us players. (And the Evil Clown :twisted: , JCP, is doing good, too.)

I'm looking at removing the popup for the MoTD and changing it to dynamic text that appears, anyway, but we can still think of a similar notification system for clans.
