Ok...so here's my question. I've been hearing about a few different servers of LotGD, but...where do i find them? How do i know which server i'm playing on? I don't see any links telling me to choose from any servers :(

to find them go to lotgd.net and look for the link to logd net. that will show you a list of servers that have registered with the central server. the central server by the way is lotgd.net.

To find out which you are on, just look at the address bar starting with http://

I think the possible confusion here is that some games, particularly MMO's (like City of Heroes) are completely self contained, but run a number of their own servers.

Legend of the Green Dragon can be run by anyone with the right equipment and know-how. Each person who runs the game runs it on their own server, with their own settings and their own players. Their server is on their own URL, and once you're on their site, there's no need to choose a server. (Unless they're crazy like SaucyWench and are, as it turns out, running multiple servers, but then it'll be obvious that you have to choose one.)

Ok, thanks a lot. I understand it now. Wow...there is a LOT of servers.

Also..Is Central server one of the best?

That's a tricky question =)
All the servers have different settings. Central is by far the most competitive and balanced, but it is huge - does that make it the best? DragonCat is far nicer if you prefer a more mature place to be, because they don't seem to have many "idiot kiddies" (I do apologise to young people - I mean immature people, not simply young people, and DragonCat does have young people who can behave). It can sometimes be quiet there if you like to roleplay and chat. GemDust is a place you can try new strategies and compete on a level playing field. If you are a native German speaker you might prefer the lotgd.de server... if you like to roleplay you might choose a different server again... smaller servers tend to be better for roleplay.

Some people play on several before they feel at home. Most people will eventually end up on a server that is run in a professional manner, though, and you'll find that not all the small servers are.
