The tournament now goes for 50 game days.

To see them in techy detail go to http://www.gemdust.com/orangeq/about.php?op=setup .

Thank you all for your feedback. Orange server will be far less intense than Purple - visit http://gemdust.com for more details on this.

Tourney begins on August 15. There are 15 turns per game day and the game days last 12 hours, just like Central, but the new day is at a different time (an hour after Purple, two hours after Central).

Magickal colours and words are in the text. Some of you will find them annoying, but it will help you remember you are in the ORANGE server. =) There are also a few new items around the place too.

You can join now - and get in - and play - but the dragon will not be in the cave until July 15. Jump in now and play turns and get to know how it is set up. If you miss the start, it's ok - once the tourney opens you get a magical ***NEW DAY*** button that you can hit every time you die, to help you catch up! (It will disappear once you get your first dragon kill.) The MOUNTS and TATTOOS will be unavailable until the first dragon kill too - at that first dragon kill your charm gets reset to 0 and gems to 5 - this is to make it fair for everyone (something that Purple did not do).

The tournament goes for 100 game days. Each time you log in it will tell you (for example, This is day 5 of the tourney, of 100 days). At the end of the tourney, you will be dead as soon as you log in =) But you will be able to get to your YOM, and so on, and see where you ended up. I will post the winner on the main GemDust.com site. They get 1000 donator points to spend on any other tourney on the site.

You start with 200 gold. Who cares if it is not balanced and too generous? Go nuts with it. And you can borrow more, too. Slay five people a day, but it won't get you as much experience as you are used to on Central, because this tourney is about strategy, not luck in finding a target.

Gardens are gone. There is only one town (Orange City). You won't see the same mounts. You won't see all the specials either or shops. Four base races only (Storm Giant and Felyne aren't there because they require other towns).

Those are the main things I can think of. If you have questions about any of the Orange server settings feel free to ask here in this thread. Enjoy =)

Yes indeed! With Purple I am surprised you have time to breathe... I am hoping to cool that one off a bit with some new modules. It's pretty intense... I spend hours playing my character there, so I'm aware of how long the loopholes let the turns last...

Well, the serums are only 5/tournament, so the only difference from central are the extra 2 candles... it's not so bad really. I only spent so long yesterday because my work connection was like molasses ;)

Well, I think Cedrik is more generous with ale on Purple too... but anyway, on Orange, it's less extreme.

He is?! Crikey!

*mumbles something embarassedly about not having known that*

In what way is the server more laid back than Purple, incidentally? Just in less available things to do... or intended for less people? Would not one game day per real day make it a very laid back affair?

Sorry, I know I'm a bit of a spam-monkey. Just wondering. Really appreciate the effort you're putting in to make these games :)

I turned Cedrik and Heidi down a bit, and generally adjusted most of the specials. Most of them are still more generous than Central, but some of them will give turns less often, and so on =)
