Hi! I've taken a look through the threads and I can't find anything very explicit about donations and what kinds of perks you get (obviously, not the best reason to donate...but I'm curious...and only human!). :D

So, what kind of perks does donating give you? Do they only kick in after a certain level? I just started a character on dragoncat (which seems very quiet, I must say) and was thinking about donating. :)

The best place to find out about the specific perks of donating is JCP's Hunter's Lodge, which you can find in any town. I'm not sure if these perks are different for each server, so it's probably best to take a look on the server you're playing on.

Thanks. Being a level 4 or 5 farmboy, I haven't even left the island yet. I just like supporting games I play and was curious. :)

Oh, okay, in that case, I'll copy and paste what I can see in dragoncat's Hunter's Lodge:

For each $1 donated, the account which makes the donation will receive 100 contributor points in the game. "But what are points," you ask? Points can be redeemed for various advantages in the game. You'll find access to these advantages in the Hunter's Lodge. As time goes on, more advantages will likely be added, which can be purchased when they are made available.

Donating even one dollar will gain you a membership card to the Hunter's Lodge, an area reserved exclusively for contributors. Donations are accepted in whole dollar increments only.

"But I don't have access to a PayPal account, or I otherwise can't donate to your very wonderful project!"
Well, there is another way that you can obtain points: by referring other people to our site! You'll get 25 points for each person whom you've referred who makes it to level 4. Even one person making it to level 4 will gain you access to the Hunter's Lodge.

Also, you can gain contributor points for contributing in other ways that the administration may specify. So, don't despair if you cannot send cash, there will always be non-cash ways of gaining contributor points.

Purchases that are currently available:
[-] • For 500 points, you will get an avatar picture to display on your bio page. You can change it to a different avatar at a later time for 25 additional points.
[-] • A custom weapon costs 100 points for the first change and 100 points for subsequent changes.
• A custom armor costs 100 points for the first change and 100 points for subsequent changes.
[-] • One extra forest fight per day for 30 days costs 100 points. You may have up to 5 of these active at a time.
[-] • A bottle of Fairy Dust costs 100 points as well as a gem, and can be a little unpredictable.
[-] • The ability to visit Golinda, the Lodge Healer costs 50 points per day. Golinda's rates are 65% those of the normal healer.
[-] • The cost for ten free stays at the inn is 30 points
[-] • A colored name costs 300 points for the first change and 25 points for subsequent changes.
[-] • The ability to name your mount (300 points for the first change, 50 points thereafter)
[-] • The race: Storm Giant; The Masters of the Hillfolk. This costs 500 points
[-] • The ability to choose a custom in-game title upon reaching 5000 and every 0 points thereafter. (this doesn't use up those points) [NOTE: A title is the prefix on your name like Farmboy or Page]

Thanks. That's really helpful. Those actually seem like really nice perks.

So for $5 I could be a storm giant? I think I'd need new clothes. :D

The Hulk's clothes grew (and ripped) as Bruce Banner got bigger, so maybe that would happen to you, too. :D

costs are differnt on central

Meaning higher? Much higher?

Not my motivation, but I was wondering if it's the difference between, say, $5 and $10 or $5 and $50. :)

On Central, the Storm Giant costs 2000 points, or $20. Custom weapons and armor are 1000 points each, or $10. I think the Fairy Dust is 200 points+1 gem, and all the rest are the same.

So by custom armour/weapon, you mean you can name it, and give it piticular chareraterics? like gives you 50 to defence, or just name it?

Acemaster

You just name it. For example, I have a Rod of Spanking. Steer clear of that thing!

The custom name stays, but the (power) value will change.
