We want to avoid many threads about people stating a new iteration of the game, as that can get messy.

So, you can post about your server in the Social "Which Server are you from? (http://lotgd.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=35)" sticky topic, in answer to that question.

You can also link to your server in your signature.

But that's it - no creating posts/threads that serve only to advertise a site.

This is in accordance with the policy on Central not to advertise sites except in your bio. The logic is that if you are seen as a positive contributer to the forums, people will be interested in you enough to check out your site.

We do not want people to just create an account to post about their site and leave - that's not contributing and is "bad form". We want you to stay and participate.

There is a small amount of grey area. Obviously if someone posts about a problem or bug and you can contribute to the thread by saying "here is how I solved the problem on my site, and you can check it out here" it is much different from a post that exists only to promote a site.

Thank you for being part of this community, and for contributing to it.

(No, this is not a big problem at the moment, it's just best to deal with it now before it becomes one.)
