View Full Version : Full Moon! *howls*
I think there should be random full moons and when you are logged on at 12am on that certain full moon, you may turn into a werewolf!
Questions or Comments!!? :D

Things like that could be done using a form of the weather module I suppose...

well first of all you cant just turn into a were wolf, either your father/mother was one (who would marry a were wolf i dont know...) or you have to be mauled ( biten scratched) by one
well first of all you cant just turn into a were wolf, either your father/mother was one (who would marry a were wolf i dont know...) or you have to be mauled ( biten scratched) by oneSince Sneak thinks this maybe very possible... how about this scenario. Werewolfs come out everytime there is a full moon and there is a possibility of being bitten/scratched/sniffed/whatever else your little heart desires. I think it would be a nice Special Event to turn into a Werewolf ^.^

i REALLY like this idea but i think mabey there should be some advantage ( +1 att(probably not defence, were wolfs are mostly aggresive, not strategic, there mostly like a mad dog if yuo get my meaning) but there would have to be a like "hang over" like symtom because when a were wolf turns back int oa human they usualy pass out from all the stress and wake up with...well.. a "were wolf hang over"
...man i gotta get out more...

yeah and the problem with this is we dont have guns so the easest/fastest and by far the funest way to kill them... and every one knows how had it is to find silver tipped arrows and its near impossible to get close enough to a were wolf with a silver blade
...we... are... screwed...

I like it! Think there could be different creatures or breeds for each race?

Only problem I see with this is the (dis-)advantage it provides to certain players depending on when they may typically play.

i dunno.. i figure silver-tipped arrows would be easier to get ahold of than silver bullets, viz:
take arrow
(maybe) attach head
dip in molten silver which of course every fletcher keeps sitting around, bubbling, waiting for such an occasion
repeat.

I'd just use the colloidal silver paste that I use for coating when I do scanning electron microscopy. It's much easier, just brush it on, and let it dry. They do have SEM's in lotgd, right?

Easiest is a silver-headed lance or spear, gets blunt fast but you'd only use it once in a... errr... full moon.

how 'bout a silver 10-ton weight? it'll take care of a lot more than just werewolves...
how 'bout a silver 10-ton weight? it'll take care of a lot more than just werewolves...I'm gonna be like the guy in Resident Evil: Apocalypse, throwing his dagger wherever he darn well pleases. Now I have to go off and practice :o

Maybe you could get a silver upgrade that let you kill werewolves, but would the change be permanent? Also, it dosen't have to be midnight to be a full moon, maybe during the last 4-6 hours of game day every so often would be when werewolves come out as a "something special" thing in the forest...
Also...would the change be permanent? (not like be a were wolf forever, like change every full moon for...well...forever.)

Idea:
if you sleep in the inn you can't turn in an werewolf because the full moon doesnt shine on you but if you sleep in the fields you can turn into an werewolf in a full moon

In which case it should only affect PvP fights.
it would be interesting to see the face of a Prince attacking a poor Farmie when this one turns up into a powerful werewolf and beats the life out of him.

the werewolf must be very powerful for that, but a squire would lose of a farmer werewolf

Players who have become werewolves could be forced to turn into wolves during an (in-game) full moon; probably it would work best (and would be simplist) if it was for the entire game day, not just the night. It could give them a simple buff to their attack, which would wear off after a certain number of turns.
But, as a side-effect, it could restrict their ability to communicate for the whole day--it could distort their speech like drunkenness, or even replace it entirely (along with their other emotes) with emoted howls and the like.
Having it help in PVP combat could be unbalancing... But perhaps there could be a (small) chance of it spreading in PVP combat?
Naturally, with such an annoying disadvantage there would have to be some way to cure it in-game (for a price, maybe); in any case, it should probably go away after a dragonkill. If it didn't, almost everyone would become werewolves eventually.

Maybe if they are werewolf they can't use village options for that day, Saucy kitchen, Bluspring's Training etc..
