What do you do when you type out a post for an hour and your cat walks next to the power cord and turns off your computer? You grit your teeth and start typing. :(
We all know that Hardhat won the White Rabbit event, and will get 20 gems or 400 donator points and a semi-permanent title.
Hardhat also won all the individual contests, since no other non-clan member entered. A few clan members tried to enter as individuals and get an A for effort. Hardhat wins for additional prizes, each worth 10 gems or 200 donator points.
UPDATE: Maverick Hardhat the Rabbitslayer took all donator points.
As for the clan contests...
When the surprise twist was revealed that clan points would be divided by DKs instead of the number of members, there was a lot of loud complaints by the high-DK clans that this would not make the contest fairer, and actually biased the contest against them and made it impossible for them to win. To resolve this issue, additional prizes were added based on the number of clan members.
TMNE won all the clan contests.
Let us all learn an important lesson from this. While I welcome questions, please do not be so quick to doubt my judgement. Sometimes I actually know what I'm doing. :)
I since have spoken with TMNE. They understand the difficult situation this is and they have agreed to defer the prizes for the per DK contests.
So...
TMNE wins the per member contests, and gets 2 prizes each worth 10 gems or 200 donator points and a temporary title for each member.
TMIND wins the kills per DK contest, and gets a prize worth 10 gems or 200 donator points and a temporary title for each member.
BAD wins the points per DK contest and gets a prize worth 10 gems or 200 donator points and a temporary title for each member.
UPDATE:
TMIND took the donator points and the Twisted title.
BAD took the donator points and the Bountyhunter title.
TMNE took the gems and the Mutant Ninja title.
Hardhat and the winning clans should decide what prizes and titles they want. Then Hardhat and the clan leaders should contact me. No guarantee that the suggested title will be accepted, but we'll work together to come to a mutually acceptable agreement. I prefer titles reflect the contest, such as Hunter, Slayer, etc.
A giant congratulations to our winners, and a big thank you to TMNE for being so understanding. And a huge thank you to the staff and especially Karissa for answering questions about the contest even though they were totally in the dark since I kept everything a big secret.
I know this was a difficult contest, especially since there was a server crash that destroyed the information many people were counting on for their entries.
Next time I will try to provide a data sheet. We got many different types of entries, and none were absolutely perfect (although some were better than others).
The contest served many purposes, from removing the targets from non-clan people for a few days to forcing the clans to go through a "trial by fire" and hopefully emerging as stronger, more unified clans. There were a few other purposes as well, which are best left secret for now.
Please let me know what you thought of the contest. It was complicated, and if there's ever going to be another complex contest I'll need your input.
Thanks.
