What do you do when you type out a post for an hour and your cat walks next to the power cord and turns off your computer? You grit your teeth and start typing. :(

We all know that Hardhat won the White Rabbit event, and will get 20 gems or 400 donator points and a semi-permanent title.

Hardhat also won all the individual contests, since no other non-clan member entered. A few clan members tried to enter as individuals and get an A for effort. Hardhat wins for additional prizes, each worth 10 gems or 200 donator points.

UPDATE: Maverick Hardhat the Rabbitslayer took all donator points.

As for the clan contests...

When the surprise twist was revealed that clan points would be divided by DKs instead of the number of members, there was a lot of loud complaints by the high-DK clans that this would not make the contest fairer, and actually biased the contest against them and made it impossible for them to win. To resolve this issue, additional prizes were added based on the number of clan members.

TMNE won all the clan contests.

Let us all learn an important lesson from this. While I welcome questions, please do not be so quick to doubt my judgement. Sometimes I actually know what I'm doing. :)

I since have spoken with TMNE. They understand the difficult situation this is and they have agreed to defer the prizes for the per DK contests.

So...

TMNE wins the per member contests, and gets 2 prizes each worth 10 gems or 200 donator points and a temporary title for each member.
TMIND wins the kills per DK contest, and gets a prize worth 10 gems or 200 donator points and a temporary title for each member.
BAD wins the points per DK contest and gets a prize worth 10 gems or 200 donator points and a temporary title for each member.

UPDATE:
TMIND took the donator points and the Twisted title.
BAD took the donator points and the Bountyhunter title.
TMNE took the gems and the Mutant Ninja title.

Hardhat and the winning clans should decide what prizes and titles they want. Then Hardhat and the clan leaders should contact me. No guarantee that the suggested title will be accepted, but we'll work together to come to a mutually acceptable agreement. I prefer titles reflect the contest, such as Hunter, Slayer, etc.

A giant congratulations to our winners, and a big thank you to TMNE for being so understanding. And a huge thank you to the staff and especially Karissa for answering questions about the contest even though they were totally in the dark since I kept everything a big secret.

I know this was a difficult contest, especially since there was a server crash that destroyed the information many people were counting on for their entries.

Next time I will try to provide a data sheet. We got many different types of entries, and none were absolutely perfect (although some were better than others).

The contest served many purposes, from removing the targets from non-clan people for a few days to forcing the clans to go through a "trial by fire" and hopefully emerging as stronger, more unified clans. There were a few other purposes as well, which are best left secret for now.

Please let me know what you thought of the contest. It was complicated, and if there's ever going to be another complex contest I'll need your input.

Thanks.

Congratulations to everyone in all the clans for playing the contest hard. Special thanks to jcp and all the admin staff for dealing with it.

Please note jcp, I only complained about the individual contest being almost impossible to win, because of lack of reading clearly on my part, I failed to understand that the indivdual contest was not even open to me ; ).

Great job everyone ...especially TMNE!

Congratulations to all!

I still feel it would have been a different outcome had ALL valid kills been entered ... I believe that many valid kills were missing due to the server crash and non-recording of kills after 9th Jan.

TMNE were just better organised .. thanks to Mortimer and his wonderful copy and paste bio idea and excel spreadsheet ... if we weren't I'm sure many of our valid kills after 9th Jan would have been missing and other clans would have had a better score than us. I sorta feel we won by default because of that so was happy to share the prizes around!

Well done all!

thank you jcp and the staff for holding the competition. overall it was very fun and I hope we will have another big competition in teh future. I think a week or so in lenght would be sufficient tho.

I understand that TMNE had their kills and bounties recorded up untill about a few minutes before the crash and that gives them somewhat of an advantage. we were relying more on individuals keeping track of their points and reporting them to terron and we lost a good amount of points due to the crash. I know at least sneak was counting on his bio keeping track of the kills and he lost the points he got after 9th.

anyway, what happened can't be changed and TNME won, congrats to them!

and a question about the prizes: can each clan member choose his prize individually or do we have to decide if everyone in the clan gets gems or points? and does everyone get a different title or is that clan specific?

Stupid cat. I know this information was in the first time.

Everyone in the clan gets the same exact prize and title. And by "everyone" in a clan I mean everyone that was submitted on the entry form. If someone has since left the clan, I'll reward them with the prize but not the title (which is an honor for the clan). If people have sinced joined the clan, they're not going to get anything.

Big thank to you JCP, it was indeed a great competition, and an appology for my whinny then.
And what I love about the competition most is the way it brought us, TMNE clan together, I got some good new friends.

I really, really, really want to avoid giving out rankings. Not all clans had the same amount of information and it wouldn't be fair or accurate. It was very difficult for me to extract the necessary information to determine the winners in the first place.

The winners did well and were all relatively bunched together, with only statistically insignificant differences.

The other clans did not fare as well and were not close enough to the winners to warrant a further look.

So I know where the winners ranked, but I don't want to assign specific ranks to the non winners, who were all clustered around the middle or low end of the stats.

Well, it was a good event for the competitive. It left a few other people cursing at how many times they got killed, but that's how it goes, right? Congradulations to TMNE, TMIND, BAD, and Hardhat!

Once we can agree on what prize your clan gets and what title, I'll do it as soon as I can.

Hardhat has already received his prize and title.
